The Intratec charging plug is required for connection to a battery or battery charger.
The main contacts are made of electrolytically high-purity copper. The connectors are made of high-quality glass fibre-reinforced plastic and are resistant to the acids and bases commonly found in batteries.
The connectors are prepared for solder or crimp connection of the cables.
The applicable standards for connectors stipulate coding pins for labelling different operating voltages. This is to ensure that only plugs and sockets for the same voltage are connected to each other.
In addition, the coding pins are available with different colour codes to distinguish between dry and wet batteries.
"These are specified as follows: Green coding pin - dry battery; Grey coding pin - wet battery; Yellow coding pin - universal."
