The high-quality support insulators from Intratec are suitable for low voltage. They are used in switch cabinet construction to secure electrical conductors such as busbars. The insulators ensure that there is no current flow through the fastening.
They therefore create a secure connection between the individual components. The low-voltage insulators are made of thermosetting polyester resin with 20% glass fibre and have a threaded insert made of galvanised steel. They are unbreakable and self-extinguishing.
Different distances between the busbars or the insulators result based on the existing rated impulse current. The design of these distances has a significant influence on the short-circuit resistance of the entire system and should only be calculated by specialists.
The centre section of the insulator is designed as a hexagon and therefore ensures simple installation. The spacer insulators have a high specific resistance and can also be used under difficult working conditions such as vibrations and high and low room temperatures.
